Logging into Your Chromebook

Student Directions: Logging Into a Chromebook and Opening ClassLink

Step 1: Turn On Your Chromebook

  1. Open the Chromebook.
  2. Press the Power Button if the screen is off.
  3. Wait for the login screen to appear.

Step 2: Enter Your Username

  1. Type your school email address or username.
  2. Click Next.

Example:
studentID@sccpss.com

Step 3: Enter Your Password

  1. Type your school password.
  2. Click Sign In.

Important: Passwords are case-sensitive. Make sure Caps Lock is off.

Step 4: Wait for the Chromebook to Load

  1. After signing in, wait for the Chromebook desktop to appear.
  2. The taskbar (shelf) will appear at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5: Open Google Chrome

  1. Click the Chrome icon.
  2. Wait for the browser to open.

Step 6: Open ClassLink

Option A: Type the Web Address

  1. Click in the address bar at the top of Chrome.
  2. Type:

https://launchpad.classlink.com/sccpss

  1. Press Enter (It may come up automatically without having to do this step).

 

Step 7: Sign In to ClassLink

  1. Click Sign in with Microsoft if prompted.
  2. Enter your SCCPSS student credentials if the Chromebook does not automatically do it for you.
  3. Complete the sign-in process with your username and password again if promted.

Step 8: Open Your Class

  1. Find the app your teacher uses:
    • BrightSpace
    • Microsoft Teams
  2. Click the app icon.
  3. Wait for the class page to load.
